The North Philharmonic is a renowned orchestra with a history dating back to 1838. It has collaborated with artists such as Libor Pešek, Vladimír Válek, Jaroslav Soukup, Tomáš Koutník, Charles Olivieri-Munroe, violinist Maxime Vengerov, pianist Caroline Murat, and many other prominent musicians.
The Philharmonic has performed in European cultural centers such as Munich, Berlin, Basel, Paris, Valence, Lisbon, Belgrade, Budapest, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Grenoble, Madrid, Valletta, and others. In 2006, the orchestra began working with the prestigious Columbia Artists Management New York Inc. agency. Its latest project was a tour of Germany with Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings Symphony and themes from the film of the same name. The orchestra regularly performs at major venues in Prague and other Czech cities. However, its artistic activities continue to focus on concerts in Teplice town, with the main aim of contributing to the cultural life of this northern Bohemian city.
